Thanksgiving Trip 2009

We went to Austin this Thanksgiving to see our families. We left Wednesday to take Christmas pics with Brady's cousins. Then we had dinner with The Warrens.

On Thanksgiving, we went to Brent's great-grandmother's house first, then to my mom's, and then to my dad's! We were way full by the end of the day. Then Brent left for Fredericksburg to go hunting, so Brady and I went to watch the UT game. Can you say Hook em!!! That was a great game!!

On Friday, Brady and I went with my sister and mother in law and nephew to Barton Creek Mall to ride the Christmas train there. Brady did great! We saw this kid before us just crying inside one of the cars and yelling for his dad. I just kept thinking that Brady was going to do that. He got in with his cousin and did really good. We came home Friday night.

We will be meeting Brent at the hunting lease this morning and then I am going to the Peddler's Show. Brady is going to stay with daddy at the lease and play with the boys.

We had a busy and very eventful week/weekend. I am happy to start school back on Monday, but loving the fact that it is only for 3 weeks and then I am off again for a 2 week holiday. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving holiday!

Our trip to San Antonio

Brady and I went to see my old high school play a football game for playoffs last Saturday. Both of my brothers are in the band, so I thought I would go and check out their show. Brady had a big bag of popcorn, met Big Blue (the mascot), and went to Landry's on the riverwalk after.

Halloween

Brady was a puppy for Halloween. This was his first time to go out in a costume and trick or treat too. He had a blast!
We went to the Methodist Church in town and they had a little carnival. Brady loved the bowling station, ducks on a pond, and the bean bag throw. I couldn't get him away from those.

Then we went to the Flying L neighborhood and went to a few houses to trick or treat. He would walk right up to the door and knock. He would say thank you and bye to the people. Three different people took his picture.

We got home and he was pooped. He woke up around 11:30pm that night running a 103 temp. That morning, he couldn't open his eyes. They were sealed shut from goop. I took him to the Urgent Care in Boerne and they told me that he has a middle ear infection and possible pink eye, but they aren't sure.
Anyhow, here are some pics from his first Halloween. Enjoy!

Future Hunter

Brent took Brady this morning down to the processing shed to see the deer his hunters got and to visit too with them. Here is Brady with Mr. Gooden and his red deer. Ain't he cute in his camo overalls?

Pumpkin Patch!

Today, we took Brady to the pumpkin patch in Medina. We thought it was just this little place, but it was really big! They had bunches of pumpkins, a maze, pumpkin painting, horses, goats, sheeps, chicks, and lots more. It was fun!

He wasn't very friendly to the baby chick. I had to pass him off to another kid.

Diapers are Buggin'

Ok, I know Brady is only 18 months, but I am getting a potty for him. My plan is at least have it in the bathroom and let him start learning what it is and what you are suppose to do with it. Diapers are just getting annoying and they are so expensive. Plus, now that Brady can roll, sit up on his own, and get up too, makes changing him harder and harder every day. And they just stink!

As I am writing this, my little stinker just grabbed my pink lemonade drink from DQ and strarted drinking it like a big boy! I can't believe he is so big already. We take him next Tuesday for his 18 month check up. One year and 6 months went by so fast.

My Little Longhorn!

Last night, the Lakes and the McLerran's came over to watch the Longhorns beat the Raiders. It was really fun. Brady had fun chasing around Bryce and Mason, the McLerran's boys. Then he kept giving kisses to his Bandera girlfriend, Kinnley! She was so cute in her longhorn outfit!

Brady said cheese as I was taking his picture! Such a ham!

Time flies when you have fun!

I know it has been about a month since my last post and I do apologize. I have been soooo busy with school and Brady, it is crazy! I have 14 boys and 6 girls this year in my third grade class. Brady is doing so much better in daycare. He walks right in and to his door by himself and waves bye-bye to me without crying. He is such a character too! It is hard to believe he is going to be 18 months in 2 weeks. He is talking more and figuring things out more too. It is awesome!

A few weekends ago, we went to Austin for a night to visit grandparents and great-grandparents. We went to Pop and Nana's house to watch Texas play their first football game. Brady played with his new hotwheel race track that Pop and Nana got him. He thought that was the coolest thing watching those cars go round the track that fast. Then he started playing with Nana's bowls. They made great hats. Here are a few pics from that visit. On our way home that Sunday, Brent came down with a major fun stomach bug. I spent the whole Sunday keeping Brady away from daddy.

Hopefully I do better with posts. I take Brady in 2 weeks for his 18month check up, so I will let ya know how that goes.

Daycare Blues

Brady has started Noah's Ark this week to get him use to going so when school starts, he is ok. Well, for the past 3 days, he has been taken from me because he won't let go. He also started in a new room today with a new teacher, so that didn't help. Everyone tells me it will get better and he will be fine. I so hope so.

Other than that, we have been pretty busy these past few weeks. We went to Austin two weeks ago for Austin's 9th b-day and my dad's 50th b-day. Plus, my Aunt Pat was in from Ohio as well as my cousin Allison and her daughter too. It was nice seeing them too.
This weekend, the Warren's are coming to stay with us. We are going to Sea World!!! Yeah baby! I LOVE Sea World. I can't wait to see Ray and Brady together too. They both are at the age where they can interact together. They are going to be fun to watch.
Brady's new Lightning McQueen chair! He loves Cars! I think Nemo has been replaced.
Brady was trying to drink the water from the ball sprinkler. He loves this thing. It is really fun to watch him kick and hit this thing and then see his reaction when the water sprays in all different ways.

Brady found Misty's dog door when we were at Austin's 9th b-day.

Brady and Camy on the way to Austin.

Reagan giving Brady a kiss. How sweet huh?

Brady giving Kinley a kiss on the head. He isn't too sure about her yet.

San Antonio Zoo

Today, Brady and I met one of my bestest friends from high school at San Antonio Zoo. We met Amy and my birthday buddy, Kyler. It was great getting Brady around other kids. We had so much fun, besides the very hot weather. Brady loved the petting zoo. I am not sure if the goats liked him though. He would squat down and clap his hands together as to call for them to come to him. When they wouldn't, he would run after them and then hit them on the back. I thought about getting some of the food to give them, but my son would eat it instead.

Brady and Kyler looking at the hippo. Brady was in aw of Kyler. He is one cool dude!

Brady was trying to crawl through the turtle shell to get to Kyler, but then crawled backwards.
Brady on the other side of the turtle shell...peek-a-boo monkey!

Brady with more goats...poor pasture magets.

Kyler and Brady! A couple of chic magets huh?

Home from Lake Tahoe

We are back home in Bandera, TX. We went to Lake Tahoe for our wedding anniversary. We left last Wednesday and came home Saturday. It was so wonderful! The weather was one of the greatest thing about our trip. It was in the 70's during the day and it got to the low 40's at night. Here are some pictures from our trip.

Here are some pictures of our resort.

This is a picture of Lake Tahoe. On Thursday, we drove around the entire lake and took some great scenic pictures.

We went and ate dinner at the nice restaurant at our resort. It was pretty fancy. This is the salad I got. Brent says it is a sardine on top. I just ate the lettuce and dressing.

Our view from where we sat at dinner on our anniversary night. It was 53 degrees outside.

So cold, I needed a sweater and hot chocolate in July!

On Friday, we took a tram up to the top of one of the mountains.

Here is a picture of the lake from 8200 feet up!

They even had a swimming pool, ice skating rink, and a U.S. Olympic Museum. It was pretty cool up at the top of that mountain. Brent and I couldn't believe people were swimming.

There was still snow on most of the mountain tops, so we went looking for some patches. Here is some that Brent and I went and made snowballs.

This was such a nice place. We didn't get to gamble, but overall, it was very relaxing. I highly recommend this place. We don't ski, but it looks like a great place to go in the winter too.
