Finally Updated!

Since I am out of school, thought I would update Brady's blog with some pictures. Enjoy!

Brady walked up to Santa. He asked him if he has been hunting. Brady said, "Yep! Toys!" He then walked away.
Success! He sat with Santa and his cousin, Tyler!

He is Alright!

Brady is finally sleeping through the night in his own bed (with no accidents either).

Last night, Brady woke up about 3am. He cried out for me and I went in to rub his back so he could go back to sleep.

He woke back up around 4am, but this time he shouted out,"Momma, I ok. Go back to sleep. Love you. Night-Night. See you in the morning. Sweet dreams Momma!"

I was laughing so hard, I had such a hard time going back to sleep myself. He slept in his bed til 6:30am that morning.

Potty Training Weekend

For our Labor Day Weekend, we decided to start potty training Brady. A friend of mine used a program with her son and I thought I would give it a try. It is called the 3 Day Potty Training Program. You can purchase her book online and it comes with lots of great sticker charts and certificates too. Plus, you can contact her online for ideas or help. Here are some pictures of our weekend!

We went Friday night to San Antonio to get last minute stuff (more underwear just in case, more mattress pad covers, and a few more shirts for little man). Bass Pro Shops is in the shopping Center as Babies R Us and Brady knows that is the fish store. We got stuck in the toy area for some time. He really wanted this gun and hat, but we thought we would wait for Santa.
One thing the program said to do was to completely get rid of all diapers and never use them again including pull ups. Brady wanted to give his diapers to Kinley, so he and I packed them up Saturday morning and daddy took them to her.

Here is a shot of Brady wearing his new big bot underwear! He loves wearing his choo-choo train ones the most!

Here are some of the toys I got Brady for when he filled up one row of his potty chart. We found a Cars one with the program and I found Cars stickers at the dollar section at Target. He loved getting a sticker every time he went in the big boy potty!

We did lots of things together. I was not suppose to leave his side for 3 days! We painted outside, played on his slide, golfed, played choo-choos, had all of his Cars and animals out. We even made cookies together! Our house was a disaster come Monday night!

Here is Brady with some of his new animals. He was just starting to combine his other animals with the new ones he got for filling his first row of stickers.

When the Warren's came to see us a few weekends ago, Reagan had a little Etch-n-Sketch. Brady loved that thing, so when I went for prizes for him, I made sure I got one of these. He loves it!

The first 2 days of this program were not so great. He had maybe 2 or 3 successful trips to the potty and lots of accidents. However, he slept through the nights all weekend with no accidents! That is something that I was impressed with! By Monday, I guess it just clicked. He was running to the bathroom. He went to school the next day and had no accidents there. I was so happy.

Now, he isn't completely trained yet, but he is getting better and loves going outside. It is so nice to not have to change diapers or change a diaper pail. Now I just have to know where all the bathrooms are everywhere I go. I took my first trip with him to the grocery store in Boerne today and I was so nervous. He did great. I will venture further out to San Antonio maybe next weekend. I highly recommend this program. I seems like it really works!

Pop's and Austin's Birthday Weekend

This weekend we went to Austin to celebrate Pop's and Austin's birthday. It was nice to visiting with all the grandparents and Brady had fun playing with his cousins.

Brady was helping me pack Friday morning.
He really wanted to wear his hat and sunglasses like his daddy.

At Austin's party, they had a big waterslide. Brady wanted to go down the slide, so Brent had to carry Brady up and he is giving him some words of encouragement.

Brent was coming down the slide and slipped. I didn't get that picture, but I got the one of him getting up. It was pretty funny!

Brady and Tyler laughing after going down the slide!

Brady and daddy eating birthday cake.
Brady didn't share. The cake was everywhere.

Brady, Tyler, and Makayla chillin in the kiddie pool
while the big kids had a turn on the big waterslide.

Brady splashing himself.

We met up with Pop and Nana after Austin's party at the Disney store. Brady LOVED this place. He couldn't stay still. He kept making his way back to the Cars section.

Brady loves his puppy!

I was getting ready this morning and Brady was laying on Camy watching Jungle Book! I wanted to try and take a picture of them cuddling, but he caught me.

But at least I got a smile!

Our Anniversary at the Zoo

Brent and I spent our 5 year anniversary with Brady at the zoo. He had so much fun seeing the animals, especially the elephants!

He wanted to ride the real ones, but they don't do that.
He settled for this statue of an elephant instead.

He loved watching the big turtle!

Daddy bought him some animals after the zoo.

He loves playing with them.
He sets them all up and then chooses one animal to attack
and knock them all down.

Brady and I took Brent to eat at Joe's Crab Shack for dinner. He loved this place...all the stuff on the ceiling, the lights, the dancing, and shrimp! He was watching everything.

Brady loves his daddy! I sure do think he is pretty great too!

Happy Daddy's Day Honey!

First Movie - Toy Story 3!

Brent and I took Brady to see Toy Story 3 for his first movie! He did great! He kept calling the screen a "big TV".

Brent got him a big tub on popcorn. Only he could hold it the bucket, so Brent and I shared with him. He ate alot too.

School is out for Summer!

Yesterday was my last official day of school. I am no longer teaching third grade either. I am excited about teaching kindergarten next year. I love the little people!

I have lots of projects this summer, so I better not waste anytime. Plus lots of hanging out with Brady (zoo, Sea World, parks, and so much more).

Have a great summer everyone!

To Infinite and Beyond!

So, I tried to get pictures of Brady doing his impressions of Buzz Lightyear. I was laughing so hard I couldn't keep the camera focused or take a good picture. I thought I would describe in words so you can use your imagination....

Last night Brady was watching Toy Story 2 in my room. Brent and I were watching tv in the living room. All of a sudden, we hear Brady yell, "To infinite and beyond momma!" He came running down the hallway and then jumps out and surprises us. He thens puts his hand over his arm and pretends to shoot his pretend laser at us. Then he motions with his other hands to follow him. He sneaks back around the corner and then yells, "Aw, he got me!" He then falls down and rolls on the ground like someone got him. As he falls, he is yelling Noooo.

I think we may be watching this movie way too much. We are counting the days until Toy Story 3 comes out. Brent and I want to take him to see it for his first movie. Judging from this

Latest Trussell News!

I am proving time and again how awful I am at updating the blog. I hope to be better once school is out. Until then, here is some of the latest Trussell news!

Brady had ribs for the first time! After eats them, he looks just like his momma does when she eats ribs!

These are pictures of Brady playing in the purple flowers that were in our yard before the new grass came. There is one of Camy too. Brady also learned how to climb fences!

Brady is enjoying playing with his toys outside now since we have new, soft grass! He plays baseball and is working really hard on his swing!

My son is not afraid of anything! He picks up toads and throws them against a wall. He steps on beetles just to see the ooze come out! Today, he found a baby bird on the ground. Daddy, Brady, and Camy (our trained bird dog) started to chase the poor thing all around the yard, picking it up and dropping it. I have a total boy!

I teach third grade this year and our last science lesson was on biomes. Our class has oceans, so they decorated the hallway outside our classroom like an ocean. They did such an awesome job!

Brady's 2nd Birthday

We had Brady's 2nd birthday party this weekend. His actual birthday is the 29th, but we had to do it a weekend earlier. We had family and friends come help celebrate! I just can't believe my baby boy is going to be 2 in a week! Time goes by so fast.

Saturday was the first day of spring, but it was so cold! We all had to stay in the lodge, which worked out great. Everyone had fun. Thank you to everyone who came!
Brady and Reagan watching a movie together on the couch sharing some cherrios.
Brady's Pop and Nana and MeMe and PawPaw got him this Lightning McQueen car!
