Today, Brady and I met one of my bestest friends from high school at San Antonio Zoo. We met Amy and my birthday buddy, Kyler. It was great getting Brady around other kids. We had so much fun, besides the very hot weather. Brady loved the petting zoo. I am not sure if the goats liked him though. He would squat down and clap his hands together as to call for them to come to him. When they wouldn't, he would run after them and then hit them on the back. I thought about getting some of the food to give them, but my son would eat it instead.

Home from Lake Tahoe
We are back home in Bandera, TX. We went to Lake Tahoe for our wedding anniversary. We left last Wednesday and came home Saturday. It was so wonderful! The weather was one of the greatest thing about our trip. It was in the 70's during the day and it got to the low 40's at night. Here are some pictures from our trip.
This is a picture of Lake Tahoe. On Thursday, we drove around the entire lake and took some great scenic pictures.
We went and ate dinner at the nice restaurant at our resort. It was pretty fancy. This is the salad I got. Brent says it is a sardine on top. I just ate the lettuce and dressing.

Our view from where we sat at dinner on our anniversary night. It was 53 degrees outside.
So cold, I needed a sweater and hot chocolate in July!
On Friday, we took a tram up to the top of one of the mountains.
Here is a picture of the lake from 8200 feet up!
They even had a swimming pool, ice skating rink, and a U.S. Olympic Museum. It was pretty cool up at the top of that mountain. Brent and I couldn't believe people were swimming.
There was still snow on most of the mountain tops, so we went looking for some patches. Here is some that Brent and I went and made snowballs.
This was such a nice place. We didn't get to gamble, but overall, it was very relaxing. I highly recommend this place. We don't ski, but it looks like a great place to go in the winter too.

Lazy Sunday
So, this morning was the first day that I got to sleep to 9AM. Brady was up longer than usual last night because of the fireworks, so he slept til 7am and then came to bed with me until 9. Brent went golfing with Keith, so it was nice and quiet. I had both kids (Camy is our little girl) in bed with me. Now I am doing laundry and cleaning house. Brady is watching Nemo. This kids loves fish!
Last week, a friend of mine from school had some old kid things she was going to donate to the Medina Children's home and asked me if I wanted to come by and get first dibs on some things. We got Brady one of those turtle sand shells so he can play in the sand in the back yard and a four wheeler. He loves that thing and so does his daddy. We are going to charge up the battery and then see how Brady does on it when we get back from Tahoe.
Oh yeah, Brady tried corn on the cob for the first time yesterday. He loved it! I swear my son could eat all day if I let him.
Happy Fourth!!
Yesterday was my 28th birthday and the 4th! We just stayed home and chilled with the Lakes. It was nice to do nothing. We went to the Flying L Ranch and watched the fireworks. Last year, Brady was only 4 months, so I was pretty excited to see what his reaction was going to be like this year. Well, he was way more interested in the cars and people and playing in the back of Brent's truck than the fireworks. That's cool though. They weren't as good as last year. We are thinking of going to Uvalde next year. I got a Wii for my birthday and I can't wait to use it!
Brent and I's 4 year wedding anniversary (we have been together for 13 years total-can you believe that -whoa) is this Thursday, so we are taking a well needed and deserved vacation to Lake Tahoe! It my first time away from little man, so I hope I am a big girl about it. I am sure I will be making lots of calls home to check on him. I am sure he will be fine, just worried about me.
